What is manhood? Let's start with what it isn't. It's not misogynistic. It's not angry. It's not cruel, debasing, or mean. It's not shameful. Manhood is prestigious. Manhood is something to aspire to. It's a mountain that few manage to summit in a single lifetime. It's about integrity. It's a responsibility. Protecting those you love and sacrificing yourself to serve the greater good. It's not about brute strength. It's about character, heart, and the strength to marshal the discipline to exercise the willpower to lead when others tremble and fall back.

 

Real men push through fear to find themselves, recognize each other, and pick their brothers up when they fall. That brotherhood extends to all those around us and with it comes the expectations to serve the needs of our shared communities.

 

That's who we are. Serving others is our call to arms.

 

We do as much as we can and in return ask only for what we need. We bleed when we know our blood will enrich the soil for future generations. We build families. We build towns. We provide. We help feed our loved ones and do all we can to be their rock in both the best and worst of times. We share a legacy that echoes into eternity. To be a man is to hold your head high and be proud of who you are and what you represent.
